"A New Way of

    Being Church"

Beginning of Passiontide

PLEASE NOTE THAT ST. ANDREW’S CHURCH IS CURRENTLY CLOSED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE

The Archbishops and Bishops of the Church of England have urged everyone to follow the instructions given by the Prime Minister to stay in their homes in a national effort to limit the transmission of the coronavirus (COVID-19).

But they called on the Church to

“continue to pray, to love, to care for the vulnerable”.

We will keep you informed of any further developments, but please check the websites for the Church of England, The Diocese of St. Albans, and Public Health England for the latest information regarding the current situation:

It is now more important than ever that we use available technology to keep in touch with you all, so please do add the office & Revd. Tim’s email addresses (above) to your email address books, so that our messages reach you and do not end up in Spam.

Collect for 5th Sunday of Lent

Most merciful God,

who by the death and resurrection

of your Son Jesus Christ

delivered and saved the world:

grant that by faith in him

who suffered on the cross

we may triumph in the power of his victory;

through Jesus Christ your Son our Lord,

who is alive and reigns with you,

in the unity of the Holy Spirit,

one God, now and for ever.

The Peace

Since we are justified by faith,

we have peace with God through our

Lord Jesus Christ,

who has given us access to his Grace.

Romans 5.1,2

God of love,

passionate and strong,

tender and careful:

watch over us and hold us

all the days of our life;

through Jesus Christ our Lord.
