How do we collect information from you?
We may obtain information about you when you send us a message via our website, when you register for our eNews via our website, when you complete one of our pew cards in church, when you fill your details in on our eNews sign-up form in church, when you make a donation, when you Gift Aid a donation to us, when you sign up to our Electoral Roll, when you contact us regarding services in church, including weddings, funerals and baptisms, when you sign up to volunteer on any of our rotas or working parties, or when you book to use our Parish Hall.
What type of information is collected from you?
The personal information we collect might include your name, home address, telephone number, email address, information regarding services or events you have expressed interest in, and your relationship to other church members. If you make a donation to us, either regularly via the Parish Giving Scheme, or as a one off via cheque or digital banking, your financial information is not held by us but is processed by the relevant bank/s who have their own secure data processing systems.
How is your information used?
We may use your information to:
Send you communications that you have requested and additional communications that may be of interest to you (these may include information about our events and special services);
Process a donation that you have made;
Seek your views or comments on changes being considered;
Send you information about any rotas you are volunteering for or any working parties you have volunteered for;
Process and communicate with you regarding any Hall Bookings you make.
We review our retention periods for personal information on a regular basis. We are legally required to hold some types of information to fulfil our statutory obligations (for example the collection of Gift Aid).
Who has access to your information?
Your information may be accessed by the Parish Administrator, the Vicar, the Stewardship Treasurer and the Treasurer. We will not sell, rent or give your information to third parties, and we will not share your information with third parties for marketing purposes. We may pass your information to third parties for the purposes of processing donations, however we will only disclose personal information that is necessary for the processing of such information.
How you can update your information or unsubscribe from eNews
The accuracy of your information is important to us.
