Children at Church

If you are new to St Andrew’s we hope that you will feel at home, do ask if you have any questions. We welcome and celebrate the presence of small children - feel free to take your little one out for a moment if they are becoming restless and, if you want to, move forward so that your little one can see what is happening and join in with the worship.  You can also make use of the quiet area at the back of church where there are colouring supplies for the children. There is a toilet in the parish office (door to the left of the altar) but please accompany your child as this is a working space.

Children are welcome at all our services, but we have a Family Service, usually on the first Sunday of the month, this is a more informal service and ideal for young families. After the Family Service, refreshments are usually served in church to allow time to catch up and get to know one another.

You may wish to bring your own travel cups, although disposable cups are provided.

LITTLE FISHES

We are delighted to have a regular gathering of children who are calling St Andrew’s home.  To help them grow in faith we are adding something new to our regular activities.

Little Fishes is our time for younger children to explore stories, play, create, and wonder. We will be meeting as part of the worship on the third Sunday of each month in the Boulton Hall (that’s the little room downstairs in the church hall), leaving church just after the first hymn

All Little Fishes are welcome, if you’re pre-schooler do bring a grown-up Big Fish with you, and then settle in at you own pace.
